We are reopening the BKOR walking tour season with a special event: a BuitenBeeld tour on Sunday 27 September.

BuitenBeeld is BKOR’s new series of audio stories in which female artists from different generations talk about their work in Rotterdam’s public space: how it came about, the period in which it was created, the obstacles encountered along the way, and the place they occupy in the city through their work.

Tour creator and guide Anne-Marie Ros will take you on a journey on foot and by public transport from South, through the city centre, to West, joined by BuitenBeeld creator and researcher Kim Bouvy.

Along the way, we will encounter works by Karla Kaper, Narges Mohammadi, Maria Roosen and Anne Wenzel: four artists, four artworks and 55 years of Rotterdam history.

At each work, we will listen to excerpts from BuitenBeeld and take a closer look at both the artwork and its surroundings. Kim interviewed the artists and will also share stories and discoveries from her research that did not make it into the final audio stories.

A special opportunity to hear and see just a little more.

We will finish with a drink at or near De Ballentent.
