Lakeside Collection is participating in th exhibition 'Blue Zone' at Kunsthal Rotterdam where VBCN (Vereniging Bedrijfscollecties Nederland, i.e. the Netherlands Association of Corporate Art Collections) and Kunsthal join forces. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of VBCN – a network of 51 companies that together own over 100,000 artworks – the Kunsthal is presenting over 70 artworks in which the colour blue plays a central role. In the exhibition, paintings, sculptures, light artworks, photography, and video artworks from corporate collections will enter into unexpected dialogues with each other. The exhibition Unknown Landscapes, of which the title refers to Monali Meher’s installation Unknown Landscape,
revolves around the concept of repair. Interpreted through the lens of philosopher Eva von Redecker, this exhibition explores repair as the opposite of 'revolution'. Although both suggest a transformation, the concept of repair does not involve a radical break, but rather a change that creates something new, throughout the in-between spaces of the old.
