‘S P I N O R A M A’ – an exhibition on BOOK SPINES. By Aslak Gurholt (NO) & Fraser Muggeridge (UK).
S P I N O R A M A is the first exhibition dedicated entirely to the book spine—an essential yet often neglected element of book design. Presenting over 100 examples from diverse genres, it highlights how designers transform this narrow surface into a site of expression and identity. From structural play to conceptual ingenuity, the spines reveal unexpected visual languages. Hosted in PrintRoom’s Living Archive, the exhibition expands through contributions from artists, designers, and PrintRoom’s own collection.
